The mind-body connection is such an important relationship to understand and continually nourish in order to maintain wellness. We already know that poor mental health is a risk factor for chronic physical conditions. We know that high-stress jobs can lead to earlier deaths. And still, society places such emphasis on maintaining physical health and attaches such a negative stigma to maintaining our mental health. In order to achieve and maintain wellness, we need to equally nourish our minds, bodies and souls.

Wellness to me is about changing and growing. It’s an active choice to practice healthy habits that enhance your spiritual, physical, emotional, and social well-being. Happiness is the outcome of being well!

Becoming a mother was the biggest step on my wellness path, not only to create a healthy version of myself from a physical fitness aspect but to be present and teach the true meaning of life to our children. To give, to love, to embrace, and never give up... on yourself, your family, or anyone you cross paths with. I believe a huge part of an individual’s wellness comes from the act of giving and providing to all those around us.
